Located Located on the waterfront of Schinias, Delfini is a summer restaurant and beach destination built around a relaxed relationship with the sea and its natural surroundings.

For the project, Platho completely redefined the existing interior, developing a new architectural language rooted in the character of the coastal setting. The intervention is organised around a restrained palette of natural materials, combining timber, white mineral surfaces and woven reed elements to create a warm and tactile interior. The intention was to transform the atmosphere, materials and visual language of the restaurant, creating a contemporary environment that remains connected to its coastal character.

The existing roof structure becomes a defining architectural element, with white-painted beams framing the space and a continuous woven ceiling introducing texture and warmth. A series of arched wall niches adds rhythm and depth to the interior, while integrated shelving and built-in elements are treated as part of the architecture rather than as separate furniture pieces.

Timber furniture and woven lighting reinforce the material continuity throughout the restaurant, creating a dialogue between the structure, the interior and the surrounding landscape. Large openings maintain a visual and spatial connection with the sea, allowing the interior to extend naturally towards the waterfront.

The result is a contemporary interpretation of a Mediterranean beach restaurant — a space defined by materiality, repetition, natural light and its direct relationship with the landscape.
